Powder metallurgy
The process flow is as follows: raw material (tantalum powder) → mixing → forming → vertical melting → rotary forging → intermediate annealing → drawing → finished product annealing → quality inspection → packaging and warehousing.
Smelting method
The process flow is as follows: raw material (tantalum powder) → mixing → forming → pre sintering → electron beam smelting → precision forging → intermediate annealing → rotary forging → intermediate annealing → drawing → finished product annealing → quality inspection → packaging storage.

It can be classified according to its chemical purity, performance, use and state.
According to chemical purity, it can be divided into three categories: (1) Metallurgical tantalum wire, purity 99.0% ta; (2) high purity tantalum wire, purity 99.0% ~ 99.9% ta; (3) ultra-high purity tantalum wire, purity 99.9% ~ 99.99% ta.
According to the performance, it can be divided into four categories: (1) chemical corrosion-resistant tantalum wire; (2) high-temperature and high strength tantalum wire; (3) oxygen resistant and brittle tantalum wire; (4) tantalum wire of capacitor.
Tantalum wires of capacitors are divided into three categories according to their use: (1) tantalum wires (sdta1 and sdta2) for solid tantalum electrolytic capacitors (see gb/t 26012-2010); 2) tantalum wires (ldta1 and ldta2) for liquid tantalum electrolytic capacitor leads (see gb/t 26012-2010); 3) tantalum wires (dtals, dtall) for capacitors with reliability index (see China National Army Standard gjb2511-95).
Tantalum wires of state capacitors are divided into three categories: (1) soft state (m), tensile strength σ B = 300-600mpa; (2) semi hard state (Y2), tensile strength σ B = 600-1000mpa; (3) hard state (y), tensile strength σ b>1000mpa.
